Interview with Author Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath

Master Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath

Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath was born in India in 1944. He was born into an ancient royal family Ikshavaku Rama of the Solar Dynasty. As a three-year-old, he already experienced enlightened states and became spiritually realized. He abandoned his royal lifestyle, and after finishing his formal education as a part of his obligation towards his family, he entered into his adventure of pursuing his mission in life and his calling.

In his interview to Watkins Magazin “Meet The Author: Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath” the Master shared his views on different objects.

Yogiraj about an enlightened state

The Master believes that enlightened state cannot be described; it can be only experienced. It also can be achieved in daily life and at any time, if your spiritual practice has matured to that level, and you are aware of that level.

Yogiraj about his experience of travelling in the Himalayas and how it transformed him

His travel in the Himalayas was not one shot, at one go, it was sporadic, it was again and again, at different times. He described this experience in one interview. “And as I step the nether regions of the Himalayas, my whole body, mind and soul undertook a makeover which was very consistent in evolution. And the limits of my mind dissolved. The “I” dissolved. And the heart spectator, the witness within understood that it was one with the universal witness, which I think about to be the formless aspect of Shiv Goraksha Babaji”.

Yogiraj about his perception of spirituality

He believes that yoga schools, meditation classes, spiritual workshops are all a stepping stone to the reality. They certainly help the various levels of truth-seekers along the path. In Yogiraj’s opinion, there is no perception of spirituality. “Your spirit, your magnificent indweller is one of the most natural and truest forms of on your own”. In sharp contrast to our mind and body. Yogiraj calls it “garbage mind” because it is filled with garbage and thinking non-sense all the time and “corruptible body” because it is falling ill all the time. But the spirit is a silent watcher, who watches us from within, the pure, immovable, divine witness, the divine indweller. The witness is the God within. That’s what Yogiraj is teaching other people, how to distinguish between their false self, their apparent self, and their true self. And therefore, a human is not a corruptible body, nor a fleeting mind, but he is a divine soul. The human being is not a just a physical body that sleeps, decays and dies, but he is an immortal consciousness, lord of the earth and skies. So we need to change our mindset and understand it. “When you cut out all the unnecessary trappings and rituals and specify, you shortened that the magnificent indweller is the witness to the actions of the human race”.

Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath Books

BABAJI the Lightning Standing Still

There are a variety of books written by Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath. “The Lightning Standing Still” is probably the most known one.

The book is taking its readers on Yogiraj Siddhanat’s fascinating Himalayan journey to ancient temples and mystic power spiritual centres hidden in secret caves of the snowy hills.

Yogiraj dedicated this book to mystical Babaji who is called a Non-being essentiality. Babaji exists in his formless reality and his with-form duality. It is much more practical to address him in his duality rather than in his non-dual form as a solitary singularity of the supreme reality. It is why he is called the non-being essential.

“The Lightning Standing still” was not created for any gain or any particular purpose. It was written out of love of truth. Yogiraj mentioned once in an interview that he was motivated by a desire to explain the best “who this lofty being was—called Shiv Goraksha Babaji”. And with that in mind and empowered by true blessings of Shiv Goraksha Babaji himself he took an attempt to describe the formless spirit of his Master and clarify the holographic dimensions of this astounding being that are way beyond the comprehension of any ordinary human being. Keeping that in mind, Yogiraj tried to simplify it for his readers but still trying to intrigue them in the way he was fascinated by Babaji, the best enigmatic secret in spiritual history.

Personal encounters with Babaji

In his book, Yougiraj describes his encounters with Babaji, According to Yogiraj’s own words he sensed Babji’s immortality “the deathless fragrance of his body” when he was in his presence which was glorious and magnificent. In awe, Yougiraj Guunath called Babaji “the King”!

Yogiraj described his connection with Babaji as being “not from this life”, it came from many past lives, from a long time ago.

In one of his experienced, he saw the aurora borealis of Babaji approaching him from the Alaknanda river. It is how Yogiraj describes that moment: “my inner-most being became my outer-most form, and my outer-most form became my inner-most being, and I seemed to partake of the essence of this supreme being as though it was a part of my essential self. So, there seems to be no difference between the connection of my soul spirit with his universal spirit”.

Kriya Yoga

Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath wanted to know where did Kriya Yoga had its origins. His quest lead him Babaji. He researched deeply about Kriya Yoga’s beginnings where its strength comes from. And he found out that significant portions of Kriya Yoga, of Kundalini Kriya Yoga, had its source in the Goraksha Sahita, in the Goraksha Shatak, the Atma Vidya of Lord Gorakshanath aka Babaji.
